Home Sweet Home
We
searched high and low to find the perfect color for this reproduction motto and
we finally found it in a little business that hand dyes their own threads.
This reproduction motto is stitched in a deep burgundy
and the vines are stitched in a variegated green. A
warm addition to any "Home Sweet Home."
Finished size is 8.5"X21". All of our kits
include pre-stamped natural brown perforated paper, floss, gold needle and full instructions. Frames are not included.

Stitching
Instructions:
Before you begin your motto, please read the Vintage Needleworks
Stitching Guide completely. This is enclosed in your kit. To
begin, satin stitch all of the words/lettering in dark red floss.
Remember only to sew on top of the brown printed pattern. Some of the
stitches in the S in Sweet may be up to 4 inches long.
Make sure you pull the thread securely on these longer stitches and they
will sit nicely against the paper. Next, back stitch the vine work in
the variegated green floss. When all of this is done you can go back and
satin stitch the flowers in red and the leaves in green. You will notice
that the M in the first Home is oddly shaped. This is true
to the original pattern which was probably hand drawn and not a defect
in your motto pattern. Please refer to the picture for any additional
help you may need. |
